ALYSSA (VOICEOVER): In Episode 308, "The Cost of Chaos," Milva hunts in Brokilon, tending to an injured Geralt while bringing him news from across the Continent. Jaskier informs Geralt that Ciri is rumored to be heading to Nilfgaard. Brokilon’s healing waters are ineffective against the witcher’s wounds and Milva sternly intervenes when Geralt tries to leave prematurely.
In Skellige, Yennefer and Crach an Craite discuss the grave implications for Skellige if Ciri has aligned with Nilfgaard. The surviving sorceresses discover the remains of the missing Aretuzan novices at Vulipanne Castle, leading to sorrow and conflict among them.
Fringilla and Francesca meet Emperor Emhyr, seeking to return to Cintra. Emhyr decrees that only the vulnerable elves may take refuge in the city, while the Scoia’tael must continue fighting to disrupt the Northern forces. Later, Francesca, discovers Emhyr ordered the death of her child, and the Queen of the Elves vows vengeance against both Fringilla and Nilfgaard.
Meanwhile, King Vizimir, upon learning of Nilfgaard’s advances, orders a plot against Philippa for the Redanian failures at Thanedd, but she has Vizimir assassinated instead. Radovid, who was preparing to leave the monarchy to pursue his love for Jaskier, is abruptly crowned king by Philippa after his brother’s death.
Tissaia, overwhelmed by guilt from the events at Thanedd, takes her own life, leaving Yennefer heartbroken. Yennefer and Geralt reunite in Brokilon, reaffirming their search for Ciri. The sorceress heals Geralt, preparing him for the journey ahead. As they leave Brokilon, Geralt, Jaskier, and Milva face off against Nilfgaardian guards. Geralt leaves behind his neutrality as he begins his search for his daughter.
Ciri awakens as a captive in a grim tavern. Rescued by a gang of teens called the Rats, she’s driven to kill her kidnapper, losing her innocence and adopting a new identity: Falka.
